Maritime Curation & Traditional Sailing

Saltwater Vagabonds

I'm Andrew- A Delaware-based maritime historian, writer, and sailor. Raised in land-locked Pennsylvania I became infatuated with the sea through childhood trips to Cape Cod, learning to sail on Nantucket Sound, and pilgrimages to Mystic Seaport. As an undergraduate student my advisor challenged me to experience the maritime world firsthand before teaching about it. Saltwater Vagabonds was forged from this challenge. Straddling  public history, academia, and the traditional sailing community Saltwater Vagabonds charts a non-traditional course to share maritime history through immersive experiences, ashore & afloat.

Immersive Maritime History Ashore & Afloat

"these Salt-Water kind of Vagabonds, who are never at Home, but when they're at Sea, and always are Wandering when they're at Home..."
- Ned Ward, The London Spy, 1703
